Advanced Technology: we are independent from coating machine manufacturers. This has allowed us to choose the best technologies available on the market and offer always new coatings. Lafer has decided to work in an only Coating Center, greatly organized and equipped with high capacity machines and all the necessary facilities. Today it's the Italian Coating Center with the highest density of PVD machines: this fact allows us to manage dedicated units for different coating types, products or Clients.

Quality:Lafer was the first Italian Coating Center to achieve ISO 9002 Certification (March 1998), now extended to ISO 9001:2008. In the 2009 we have obtained the ISO TS 16949 certification for component series productions in the automotive field. Are currently in progress EN 9100 and NADCAP certification for the aerospace field and the ISO 13485 for the Medical field.

R&D: : our internal Research & Development center is equipped with advanced instruments and is connected with many national and international University Research Centers. In January 2006 it has been finalized, together with other European partners, a project called HIPIMS which developed a new high-power pulsing unit dedicated to the adhesion phase of different coatings. In year 2007 Lafer started with other partners project SUP&RMAN for the development of a new coating technology and to promote the concept of “Energetically Efficient Solutions” for the reduction of production costs and environmental impact in the utilization of tools, moulds and components.

Logistics: Lafer benefits from its fair geographic position, since Piacenza is a really important highways and railways junction and is also a sorting center for many Express Couriers. It's also operating an air field (AliLafer) next to our Coating Center.
